Copra eases in special Muhurat session

Copra office Alapuzha and Copra office Kozhikode eased at the spices market in a special Muhurat trading session amid lower offtake from stockists and exporters in the festive season.
Meanwhile, black pepper, ginger bleached and unbleached ruled stable. Copra Rajapur Mumbai and Copra edible Mumbai remained closed during the session.
Copra office Alapuzha and Copra office Kozhikode declined by Rs 100 per quintal each to 7,200 and Rs 7,100 from their previous closing level of Rs 7,300 and Rs 7,200, respectively.
Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):
Black pepper (per kg) 725/800 (725/800), ginger bleached (per kg) 210 (210), ginger unbleached (per kg) 230 (230), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 7,200 (7,300), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 7,100 (7,200), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) closed (17,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) closed (9,000).
