Copra prices eased by Rs 100 per quintal in an otherwise steady local dry fruits market in the national capital today on low demand against higher supplies from producing regions.
However, other dry fruits settled around previous levels after moving in a narrow range in limited deals.
Traders said low demand against higher supplies from producing regions mainly led to decline in copra prices.
Copra moved down by Rs 100 to Rs 8,200-9,600 per quintal.
The following are today's quotations (per 40 kg):
Almond (California) Rs 18,400 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,000-8,300; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,400-4,700; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 640-665 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-550 per kg.
