Copra extends fall on subdued demand
Press Trust of India Mumbai Copra fell further at the spice market here today due to subdued demand from stockists and retailers amidst ample arrivals from producing regions.
However, black pepper and ginger maintained a steady trend in the absence of any large-scale buying.
Copra Rajapur Mumbai dropped by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 16,500 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 16,800.
Copra office Alapuzha, Copra office Kozhikode, copra edible Mumbai prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 8,600, Rs 8,400 and Rs 10,000 as against Rs 8,700, Rs 8,400 and Rs 10,100, respectively.
