Copra firms up on hectic offtake

Copra prices firmed up further at the spices market here today due to hectic offtake from stockists and retailers.
Meanwhile, rest of the spices maintained a stable trend in the absence of any major buying activity.
Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode shot-up by another Rs 1,000 per quintal each to Rs 19,000 and Rs 18,000 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 18,000 and Rs 17,000, respectively.
Copra Rajapur climbed by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 23,000 from Rs 22,500.
Copra edible moved up by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 14,000 as against Rs 13,800 yesterday.

Black pepper (per kg) 765/815 (765/815), ginger bleached (per kg) 320 (320), ginger unbleached (per kg) 340 (340), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 19,000 (18,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 18,000 (17,000), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 23,000 (22,500), Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 14,000 (13,800).
