Copra firms up on sustained demand

Copra office Alappuzha, copra office Kozhikode, copra Rajapur mumbai and copra edible mumbai firmed up at the spices market here today following sustained demand from stockists and retailers amidst good export offtake.
Rest all other spices ruled steady in the absence of necessary buying activity.
Copra office Alappuzha and copra Rajapur Mumbai gained further by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 9,300 and Rs 11,100 from Monday's closing level Rs 9,200 and Rs 11,000.
Copra office Kozhikode and copra edible mumbai moved up by Rs 200 per quintal each to Rs 9,200 and Rs 10,200 as against Rs 9,000 and Rs 10,000 yesterday.
Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):
Black pepper (per kg) 700/770 (700/770), ginger bleached (per kg) 135 (135), ginger unbleached (per kg) 155 (155), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 9,300 (9,200), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 9,200 (9,000), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 11,100 (11,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 10,200 (10,000).
