Copra Kozhikode eases on subdued demand, pepper recovers

Copra office Kozhikode prices eased in an otherwise listless spices market here today due to subdued demand from stockists and retailers.
Meanwhile, black pepper prices recovered on renewed demand from retailers.
Rest all other spices ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
Copra office Kozhikode moved down by Rs 25 per quintal to Rs 4,700 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 4,725.
However, black pepper climbed by Rs 5/3 per kg to Rs 415/448 as against Rs 410/445 previously.
Following are today's closing rates in Rs with previous rates in brackets:
Black pepper (per kg) 415/448 (410/445), ginger bleached (per kg) 180 (180), ginger unbleached (per kg) 190 (190), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 4,800 (4,800), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 4,700 (4,725), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 6,400 (6,400) Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 5,800 (5,800).
