Copra moves up on renewed demand

Meanwhile, copra Rajapur, black pepper, ginger bleached and unbleached rule stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying support.

Copra office Alapuzha shot up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 4,350 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 4,250.

Copra office Kozhikode also surge by Rs 75 per quintal to Rs 4,225 as against Rs 4,150 previously.

However, copra edible Mumbai slipped by Rs 25 per quintal to Rs 5,600 as compared to Rs 5,625 yesterday.

The following are today's closing rates in rupees with previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 418/450 (418/450), ginger bleached (per kg) 100 (100), ginger unbleached (per kg) 115 (115), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 4,350 (4,250), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 4,225 (4,150), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 6,700 (6,700) and copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 5,600 (5,625).
