Copra prices drop on reduced demand

Copra office Alappuzha, copra office Kozhikode, copra Rajapur Mumbai and copra edible mumbai prices dropped at the spices market here today on reduced demand from stockists and retailers amid ample arrivals from producing belts.
While black pepper and ginger prices ruled steady on mute enquiries from stockists.
Copra office alappuzha declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 6,200 from last Saturday's level Rs 6,300 and copra office kozhikode dipped by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 6,000 as against Rs 6,200 previously.
Copra rajapur mumbai moved down by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 10,200 as compared with Rs 10,300 last weekend's level and copra edible mumbai fell by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 7,500 from Rs 7,700 last Saturday.

Black pepper (per kg) 735/805 (735/805), ginger bleached (per kg) 150 (150), ginger unbleached (per kg) 170 (170), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 6,200 (6,300), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,000 (6,200), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 10,200 (10,300), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 7,500 (7,700).
