Copra prices rally on rising demand

Rest all spices closed stable in the absence of any market moving factors.

Copra office Alapuzha surged by Rs 150 per quintal to Rs 4,750 from Monday's closing level of Rs 4,600.

Copra office Kozhikode and Copra Rajapur Mumbai rose by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 4,650 and Rs 6,900 as against Rs 4,550 and Rs 6,800 yesterday.

The following are today's closing rates in Rs with previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 415/440 (415/440), ginger bleached (per kg) 145 (145), ginger unbleached (per kg) 155 (155), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 4,750 (4,600), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 4,650 (4,550), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 6,900 (6,800) Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 5,800 (5,800).
