Copra Rajapur declines on reduced demand, ample supply

Copra Rajapur prices declined in an otherwise lacklustre Spices market here today due to reduced demand from stockists as well as increased arrivals from key producing belts.
Meanwhile, rest of the Spices ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
Copra Rajapur prices dropped by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 9,600 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 9,700.
Following are today's closing rates in Rs with previous rates in brackets:
Black pepper (per kg) 530/575 (530/575), ginger bleached (per kg) 205 (205), ginger unbleached (per kg) 215 (215), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 8,400 (8,400), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 8,300 (8,300), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 9,600 (9,700), Copra edible Mumbai(per quintal) 9,100 (9,100).
