Copra Rajapur surges in lacklustre trade

Copra Rajapur Mumbai surged in an otherwise lacklustre spices market here today following sustained demand from stockists and retailers.
Rest all other spices ruled stable in the absence of any major buying activity.
Copra Rajapur Mumbai gained further by 500 per quintal to Rs 14,500 from last Thursday's close of Rs 14,000.
Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):
Black pepper (per kg) 490/580 (490/580), ginger unbleached (per kg) 127 (127), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 13,000 (13,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 11,200 (11,200), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 14,500 (14,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 13,000 (13,000).
