Copra rises on pick up in demand

Barring a rise in copra prices on seasonal demand, other dry fruits held steady at the wholesale dry fruits market today on scattered support.
Traders said pick up in buying activity supported by festive season demand mainly led to rise in copra prices.
In the national capital, copra rose by Rs 100 to Rs 15,100-17,600 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations (per 40 kgs):
Almond (California) Rs 23,200, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 10,700-11,200; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 7,200-7,400; Abjosh Afghani Rs 15,000-20,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 795-815 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 850-880 per kg.
