Copra strengthens on rising demand amid tight supply

Copra prices strengthened further at the spices market here after a two-day lull on emergence of heavy buying from stockists and bulk consumers amid sustained strong export demand.
The bullish activities is likely to continue in copra due to lower arrivals in the midst of increased domestic as well as overseas demand, a trader said.
Meanwhile, copra Rajapur maintained a stable trend in the absence of necessary buying support.
Copra office Alapuzha, copra office Kozhikode and copra edible Mumbai rallied by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 9,100, Rs 9,000 and Rs 9,900 from Monday's closing level of Rs 9,000, Rs 8,900 and Rs 9,800, respectively.

(260), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 9,100 (9,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 9,000 (8,900), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 10,400 (10,400), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 9,900 (9,800).
