The operation was conducted after it was learnt that criminals involved in various offences had taken shelter in some pockets of the colony, police said.
About 250 police personnel, under the supervision of DCP (Madhapur Zone) Kanti Rana Tata and Additional DCP (Crimes) Janaki Sharmila, conducted the operation at Papireddy Colony in the early hours. As per the police records, around 100 criminals reside in the localities in Cyberabad limits.
"We had reliable information that many criminals from other places of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and from other states like Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Odisha were taking shelter in Cyberabad limits, which is having a vast isolated areas all along the Outer Ring Road," Cyberabad Police said.
"During the searches, 32 motorcycles, eight autos, two cars and one dagger were seized and 29 suspects and seven history-sheeters were taken into custody for questioning to verify their antecedents," police said.

Number of industries are located in Cyberabad and a large number of migrants from other states are working in the industries and residing in these areas, they said, adding, "However, their relatives, especially youths, are coming to Hyderabad, taking shelter in these areas and committing crimes and leaving the city with stolen booty and such property offenders and other criminals were creating problems."
"The objective of today's operation was mainly to find the stolen vehicles and properties, weapons, drugs, history sheeters, dossier criminals, house burglars, among others," a release from the Cyberabad Police said.
The police would continue with the operation to check the criminals and to instill a sense of security among the citizens, the release added.
