Cyberabad Police will submit a final report before a local court seeking closure of a case over alleged provocative statements made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Telangana statehood issue, as it found no evidence against him.
"Due to lack of evidence no case is made out. We have also taken legal opinion on the matter and a final report is being prepared and will be soon submitted before the court seeking closure of the court referred case," a senior police officer said today.
Advocate Janardhan Goud had last month filed a petition in a court here accusing Reddy of making provocative statements on proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and sought for direction from the court to the Saroornagar police to investigate the matter and for registration of an FIR.
Following the directions from the court, an FIR was registered and the matter was investigated into. However, no evidence was found into the allegations of the petitioner and hence a final report is being filed before the court, the police officer explained.
