Cops probe alleged firing outside Bollywood producer's home

An FIR was registered after a Bollywood producer and owner of an event management company complained to the police alleging an underworld threat as well as firing outside his suburban Juhu residence, the police said here today.
Without revealing the complainant's name, Joint Police Commissioner Sadanand Date said, "The Juhu police station has received a complaint from a movie promoter regarding an underworld threat to its promotional events. The police station is investigating. The crime branch is also conducting an enquiry and verifying all aspects".
According to the complainant, unidentified bike-borne miscreants fired in the air outside his Juhu residence on Saturday night.

Yesterday, the complainant also alleged that days before the firing, he had received extortion calls from a person, who claimed to be underworld don Ravi Pujari.
