Cops put on alert after bomb scare

Police officers engaged in security arrangements around Ganesh temples here have been alerted after an unidentified caller informed the city police control room about a woman talking about bomb in a temple.
"The caller said that he overheard a suspicious woman talking with some men about bomb near a temple in the city. Security arrangements are already tight in view of Ganesh chaturthi, but the police officers have been alerted," Police Commissioner Janga Srinivas Rao said.
"No suspicious object has been found during checks at various locations and there is absolutely no problem... Everything is going on smoothly," the Police Commissioner said, adding that identity of the caller was being verified.
