Coriander, chilli rise on stockists buying

Coriander and red chilli prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on fresh buying by retailers and stockists amid low stocks.
Besides, fall in supplies from producing belts and firming trend in futures market supported the upside in prices.
Coriander and chilli prices rose Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 11,100-16,100 and Rs 6,600-12,600 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up coriander and chilli prices.
Following are today's quotations:
Ajwain (per kg) 150-180, black pepper (per kg) 670-845, betel-nut (kg) 280-330, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,670-1,720 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,770-1,870.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 830-900, cardamom (colour robin) 780-830, cardamom bold 800-850, cardamom extra (bold) 990-1,010 and cloves 810-860.
