Coriander eases on higher supply

Barring a fall of Rs 100 per quintal in coriander on supply pressure from producing regions, other spices held steady on some support at the wholesale market today.
Traders said increased supplies from producing regions against subdued demand mainly put pressure on coriander prices.
In the national capital, coriander prices eased to Rs 10,000-17,400 against last close of Rs 10,000-17,500 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations per quintal:
Ajwain (per kg) 15,500-20,000, black pepper (per kg) 770-920, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,400-1,470 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,500-1,680.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 900-750, cardamom (colour robin) 680-740, cardamom bold 730-750, cardamom extra (bold) 900-950 and cloves 870-920.
