Coriander, jeera rise on pick-up in demand

Coriander and jeera prices rose up to Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today on pick-up in demand from local parties as well as overseas enquiries.
Coriander prices traded Rs 200 higher at Rs 10,500-18,000 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also increased by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 11,300-11,500 and Rs 14,600-14,900 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said buying by retailers and stockists coupled with export demand pushed up coriander and jeera prices at the wholesale kirana market here.
Following are today's quotations per quintal:
Ajwain 15,000-20,000, black pepper (per kg) 760-950, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,350-1,460 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,500-1,680.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 700-750, cardamom (colour robin) 680-740, cardamom bold 730-750, cardamom extra (bold) 900-950 and cloves (kg) 950-975.
