Coriander, jeera weakens on subdued demand

Coriander and jeera prices fell by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists at higher levels amid sufficient stocks position.
Coriander prices eased by Rs 200 to finish at Rs 10,600-15,600 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also declined by Rs 200 each to conclude at Rs 15,000-15,500 and Rs 19,000-19,500 per quintal.
Marketmen said muted demand from retailers and stockists at higher levels against sufficient stocks, mainly pulled down coriander and jeera prices.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs):
Ajwain (per kg) 150-190, black pepper (per kg) 720-915, betel-nut (kg) 300-350, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,460-1,470 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,550-1,900.
