Coriander, kalaunji rise on buying by retailers

Coriander and kalaunji prices rose up to Rs 300 per quintal in the national capital today on the back of buying support from retailers and stockists amid low stocks.
Coriander and kalaunji prices rose up to Rs 300 to conclude at Rs 8,700-13,700 and Rs 9,000-10,500 per quintal.
Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against tight stocks due to fall in supplies from producing belts pushed up coriander and kalaunji prices at the wholesale kirana market here.
Following are today's quotations per quintal:
Ajwain 13,500-18,500, black pepper (per kg) 720-920, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,350-1,430 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,500-1,650.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 700-770, cardamom (colour robin) 690-750, cardamom bold 730-770, cardamom extra (bold) 900-970 and cloves (kg) 930-1,030.
