Coriander, turmeric higher on stockists buying

Coriander and turmeric prices rose further by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on fresh buying by retailers and stockists amid low stocks following fall in supplies from producing belts.
Coriander and turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 8,500-13,500 and Rs 7,400-11,700 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up coriander and turmeric prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
Following were today's quotations per quintal:
Ajwain 12,500-18,500, black pepper (per kg) 600-730, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,300-1,320 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,350-1,450.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 630-690, cardamom (colour robin) 635-650, cardamom bold 660-680, cardamom extra (bold) 850-870 and cloves (kg) 880-990.
