Coriander, turmeric rise on buying by stockists

Coriander and turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on fresh buying by retailers and stockists amid low stocks following fall in supplies from producing belts.
Coriander and turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 8,300-13,300 and Rs 6,200-11,200 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up coriander and turmeric prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
Following are today's quotations per quintal:
Ajwain 13,500-18,500, black pepper (per kg) 560-690, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,000-1,210 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,250-1,400.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 630-730, cardamom (colour robin) 580-680, cardamom bold 630-680, cardamom extra (bold) 780-880 and cloves (kg) 850-920.
