Corporations must ensure implementation of welfare schemes:DCM

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today directed chairpersons of all state boards and corporations to ensure implementation of welfare schemes launched by the state government for the benefit of people at grassroots.
He said the boards and corporations played a vital role in providing self-employment and thus their heads should make all-out efforts to implement state welfare schemes in true spirit.
Badal was speaking at the installation ceremony of Surjit Singh Ablowal as Chairperson, Punjab Tourism Development Corporation, Ashok Aneja and Bhagirath Singh Lopon as Chairpersons of Punjab Agro Export Corporation and Om Parkash Kamboj as Vice-Chairperson of Punjab Backward Classes Land Development and Finance Corporation.

He asked all chairpersons and vice-chairpersons to launch a campaign to generate awareness of welfare schemes launched by the state government among the masses.
