Cosmo Films Q4 net profit up 17 pc to Rs 28.15 cr

Cosmo Films, a manufacturer of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films, today reported an increase of 16.75 per cent in the consolidated net profit at Rs 28.15 crore for the March quarter.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 24.11 crore during the same period last fiscal, Cosmo Films said in a BSE filing.
Total income during the quarter under review stood at Rs 445.47 crore as against Rs 389.84 crore in the year ago period.
Cosmo Films CEO Pankaj Poddar said: "The company continues to focus on increasing speciality sales and improving internal efficiencies."
He further said the recently commissioned 10.4 metre BOPP is expected to contribute to substantial growth in sales and profit of the company.
The company also announced a dividend of Rs 10 per equity shares of Rs 10 each subject to shareholders' approval.
