Cottonseed oil cake prices on Friday gained 1.63 per cent to Rs 1,810 per quintal in futures trade due to accumulation of positions by traders amid upbeat trend at the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake contracts for March delivery rose by Rs 29, or 1.63 per cent, to Rs 1,810 per quintal in 4,240 lots.
Cottonseed oil cake contracts for April gained Rs 34, or 1.93 per cent, to Rs 1,796 per quintal in 72,470 lots.
Marketmen said raising of positions by participants amid rising demand from cattle feed makers mainly influenced prices here.
