Cottonseed oil declines on subdued demand

Cottonseed oil prices were down by Rs 50 per quintal in lacklustre trade at wholesale oils and oilseeds market today owing to subdued demand.
However, other edible and non-edible oils continued to trade in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said besides weak demand from retailers and stockists, adequate stocks position in the market mainly kept pressure on cottonseed oil prices.
In the national capital, cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oil declined by Rs 50 to Rs 5,850 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 960-1,130.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,800, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,350-1,400, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,100, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,200- 1,250, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,250-1,350, sesame mill delivery 8,100, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,600, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,300, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 4,600, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 5,850, Palmolein (RBD) 5,850, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,650 and Coconut (per tin) 2,600-2,650.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 8,150, Castor 9,550-9,650, Neem 5,350-5,450.
