Cottonseed oil weakens on muted demand

Barring a fall in cottonseed oil prices on sluggish demand, other edible and non-edible oils held steady at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today.
Traders said tepid demand from retailers against adequate stocks position led to decline in cottonseed oil prices.
In the national capital, cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oil traded lower by Rs 50 to Rs 5,800 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustard seed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 850-1,065.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 9,100, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,700-1,800, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 8,800, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,450-1,500, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,500-1,600, Sesame Mill delivery Rs 7,500, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,600, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,300, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,150, Cotton seed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,800, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,300, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,250 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 1,900-1,950.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 9,100, Castor Rs 9,500-9,600, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450.
