Addressing a meeting of Western Zone Regional Research and Extension Advisory Council (RREAC) yesterday, Ramasamy, who is also the chairman of the Council, said there was also the need for agricultural scientists to conduct research based on the farmers' needs to increase the productivity and their income.
The TNAU organised meeting was held at Agricultural Research Station in Bhavanisagar, a Varsity release said here today.
It was proposed to exhibit traditional agricultural practices and implements to encourage traditional agriculture and importance will be given to value addition of marketing of agricultural commodities, the release said.
