The Texas Department of Public Safety says Cagle was arrested early Sunday outside Dallas. The agency says the 45-year-old entertainer was pulled over after running a red light.
The Hunt County Sheriff's Office says Cagle was released later Sunday on USD 3,000 bond. Sgt. Jeff Haines today had no information on an attorney for Cagle.
The penalty for the misdemeanour includes a fine of up to USD 2,000, up to six months in jail or both.
A message to a booking and management agency representing Cagle wasn't immediately returned today.
