Couple commits suicide by consuming poison, son hospitalised

A middle aged couple allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison in their house at Avanashi in nearby Tirupur district today, while their eight-year old son was admitted to a private hospital here in serious condition, police said.
Noticing that the house of Ganesh (35), running a jewellery shop, not opened this morning his neighbours informed police who rushed there and broke open the door.
They found the couple lying dead. Their son was lying at some distance and struggling for life. He was rushed to the hospital here, police said.
Financial burden was suspected to be the reason for this extreme step, police said.
