Couple killed in firecrackers explosion

A 45-year-old man and his wife were today charred to death after firecrackers, stored in their house, caught fire and exploded in Vemagotti Palem here, police said.
The victims were identified as D Appanna and his wife D Lakshmi (38).
"The couple used to procure firecrackers and sell them in and around Anandapuram area here," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, S Venkateswara Rao said.
Police are trying to ascertain the cause of the fire, he said.
The bodies were sent to K G Hospital for postmortem.
