Bharat Singh and his wife Kajal, belonging to Paloura area of Jammu city, were killed on the spot, they said.
According to the police, their bodies have been handed over to family members after conducting all legal formalities.
The driver of the tanker was arrested and the vehicle impounded, they said, adding a case has been registered in this regard and investigation is underway.
