Couple kills woman over petty fight

A couple has been charged with murder for allegedly killing a woman in Manor village here over a petty rivalry, police said today.
Santosh Dhavla and Geeta Dhavala killed Manju R Rajput (26) by hammering her head with a heavy stone at her house in Manor yesterday, API at Manor police station Maruti Patil said.
The couple and the deceased were neighbours and picked up a quarrel as the duo suspected that Manju had killed one their cocks last year for meal, Patil said, adding that in a fit of rage the couple smashed Manju's head with a heavy stone.

A case has been registered against the duo under IPC section 302 (murder) and police has launched a search to nab them.
Palghar DSP Suvez Haque today visited the site and ordered a probe into the matter.
