Four members of a family were killed while three injured when their car hit a tree on Sirhind-Patiala road near Rurki village today, the police said.
The victims were returning to Ludhiana after attending a 'Jagran' near Kaithal in Haryana, when the driver lost control over the vehicle near Rurki village and it hit a roadside tree, they said.
Sunil, his wife Sonia and their two daughters -- six year-old Diya and seven-month-old Mansi were killed, while three others were injured in the accident, the police said.
The injured were taken to Civil Hospital, Fatehgarh Sahib, from where they were referred to a government hospital in Chandigarh.
