A social worker Kishori Das had last week filed a complaint under various sections of IPC in the CJM court naming the CM, his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi and five others in the incident at Adalatghat on November 19.
The complainant had claimed that his wife was among those injured in the incident.
The state government had instituted an inquiry by Principal Secretary Home Amir Subhani into the incident. The probe is underway.
Another social worker Ramji Yogesh too had filed a case on the stampede in Patna city court on the same day (November 21) against nine persons, including the CM and his deputy.

Patna, Nov 26 (PTI) A local court today deferred to December 4 the hearing of a case against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and others in connection with the stampede on Chhath festival that claimed 17 lives.
