Court defers hearing into stampede case to Dec 4

Chief Judicial Magistrate of Patna, Ramakant Yadav, deferred the hearing into the case saying an administrative probe was already on in the matter.

A social worker Kishori Das had last week filed a complaint under various sections of IPC in the CJM court naming the CM, his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi and five others in the incident at Adalatghat on November 19.

The complainant had claimed that his wife was among those injured in the incident.

The state government had instituted an inquiry by Principal Secretary Home Amir Subhani into the incident. The probe is underway.

Another social worker Ramji Yogesh too had filed a case on the stampede in Patna city court on the same day (November 21) against nine persons, including the CM and his deputy.
