Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Kishtwar, Ajay Kumar Gupta rejected the bail of Sajjad Hussain and Zakir Hussain, who were arrested in Saroor area of the district a few days ago.
The bail plea was objected by Prosecuting Officer (PO) whio pleaded that the offence committed by the accused was heinous and non-bailable and carried punishment of up to 10 years.
"The accused has hurt the sentiments of minority community and has no respect for the law of land, besides the investigation is still at initial stage and if the accused is granted bail at this stage it will shatter the investigation," the PO pleaded.
The two were arrested on September 29 after they allegedly slaughtered a cow in Tatani village of Saroor in the district on September 28, which have sparked protests.
