District Judge Sushma Khosla asked the registry to attach MP police property after the police failed to compensate the family of a dead sanitation worker.
According to the prosecution, a police van killed Ramvati Bai, wife of Chatrilal, a resident of Shazanabad, on February 26, 2013. Ramavati, a sanitation worker of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) was on her way to work in the morning when she was run over by a police van.
Later, Chatrilal and his son Gotla moved the court seeking compensation from the police, under the Motor Vehicles Act, after which the court asked the MP police to pay Rs 13,13,880 to the deceased's family on February 6, the prosecution said.
The court has fixed December 4 as the next date of hearing.
