The court stayed the warrant against Minister of State for General Administration Department Arya shortly after issuing it, on a plea made by the minister's counsel soon after the issuance of warrant.
The court had issued the warrant while admitting a plea under section 319 of the CrPC, made by slain MLA's son Ranveer Jatav for including the minister as an accused in the case, said Jatav's counsel Rampratap Singh.
Kushwaha said the special judge stayed the execution of order till June 3.
During Lok Sabha elections campaign on April 13, 2009, 40-year-old Congress MLA Jatav from Gohad assembly seat was gunned down by his alleged political rivals soon after he had finished addressing a poll meeting in favour of a Congress nominee in a village in Bhind district.
As many as eight people were named as accused in the Jatav murder case, but Arya's name had not figured in the list of the accused at that time.
