The court reserved its order for tomorrow after hearing arguments from the prosecution and defence counsel.

The court will also decide on the issue of the custody of the girl, who after her recovery from Goa had refused to go with her parents.

Faridkot police had moved an application in the district court, requesting permission to conduct a DNA test of Nishan Singh, who is involved in at least 18 criminal cases.

The minor was allegedly kidnapped by Singh from her house on September 24.

On October 20, Punjab police recovered the girl and arrested Singh from Goa.

The medical examination, on October 23, confirmed that the girl was pregnant. The girl after her recovery had refused to go with her parents, following which the court sent her to Nari Niketan at Jalandhar.

Meanwhile, Singh had been remanded to judicial custody till November 17 after expiry of his police remand, police said.

All the 18 accused in the case, including Singh's mother, have been arrested, they said.
