Prosecutor Vimal Kumar Mishra said additional sessions judge B K Paloda directed the police that witness Atul Pathak be given necessary security when he appears in the court on October 21.
Last time, Pathak, a prosecution witness, had complained that after his deposition was over, Ahmed Baig, one of the accused, gestured at him to say "you would be cut down".
Meanwhile, B S Parihar, the then in-charge of Pithampur police station in Dhar district, today appeared in the court as a prosecution witness.
