"Anybody is going to court for anything" and courts are "interfering" and giving directions to all the governments causing problems for the states, remarked Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai today.
The comments by Thambidurai, an AIADMK leader who was in the Chair, came when BJD member B Mahtab alleged interference by the Centre in states' matters when he was participating in the Motion of Thanks to the President's Address.
"You have said that the Centre must not interfere. It is a good thing and I can accept it," he said addressing Mahtab.
"But at the same time, courts are interfering. They are giving directions to all the governments. The state governments are facing the same problem. Anybody is going to court for anything," Thambidurai said.
He, however, did not elaborate.
