Leading travel company Cox & Kings organised a special clean-up drive initiative along a three-kilometre coastal area of the Juhu beach in suburban Mumbai, as part of an initiative to create awareness and preserve the natural beauty of the environment.

Karan Anand, Head at Relationships, Cox and Kings in a statement issued here said approximately 150 employees of the company actively participated in the drive by volunteering for the cleaning activity last Sunday.

"Cox & Kings employees carried out the clean-up drive in conjunction with its NGO partner, Juhu Citizens Welfare Group, employees of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) as well as the local residents," he said.

"The beach cleaning activity aims to help preserve the beauty of the Juhu Beach and at the same time keep the beach clean for the upcoming Visarjan on Anant Chaturdashi. We aim to educate the community at large about the need to keep our beaches clean," Anand said.

He said that during the drive, the team of Cox & Kings also discussed eco-friendly ways to celebrate festivals with the local residents.
