Cox & Kings Q2 down 76.6% to Rs 27.32 crore

Tour and travel firm Cox & Kings today reported a decline of 76.63 per cent in consolidated net profit to Rs 27.32 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 116.91 crore in the July-September period a year-ago, Cox & Kings said in a filing to BSE.
Total income from operations on consolidated basis was up 11.73 per cent to Rs 2,565.23 crore as against Rs 2,295.89 crore of the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.
Total expenses were up 19.57 per cent to Rs 2,399.48 crore as against Rs 2,006.68 crore.
In the first half of 2016-17, the company's net profit was down 52.64 per cent to Rs 135.39 crore as against a net profit of 285.90 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income in the first half of the current fiscal was up 4.57 per cent at Rs 4,630.36 crore as against Rs 4,427.70 crore in the same period last year.
Shares of Cox & Kings was trading at Rs 165.40 per scrip on BSE, down 1.99 per cent from previous close.
