"His condition is alright but he is too weak and though his blood pressure was normal, he will be in the hospital for two-three days," said Dr Alka Barua, his daughter, speaking to PTI.
Bardhan, 90, the veteran trade union leader and former Secretary General of Communist Party of India, was here to participate in the party's national executive when he took suddenly ill yesterday with high blood pressure and was admitted in a private nursing home.
His close aide Mohan Sharma said Bardhan would be attending a felicitation programme in the city tomorrow evening.
