During the Zero Hour, K K Ragesh (CPI-M) spoke of gross human rights violation against two of his party leaders -- Karai Rajan and Karai Chandrasekharan -- in his constituency.
"They were accused in a murder case with a political intention and they were in jail for almost two years. They were not allowed to enter their home district for last three and a half years due to stringent bail conditions. Literally, they are in exile," he said.
Ragesh made certain allegations against some organisations, which the Chair expunged.
Deputy Chirman P J Kurien said: "The accused is a person, how do you refer to the Party? It is not fair. ...What do you want? If you want a re-enquiry, say that. Why do you go to unnecessary points?"
Raising a similar issue, Vinay P Sahasrabuddhe (BJP) said there have been 424 incidents of violence in Kerala after the new government came to power. So far, nine people have been killed.
