CPI(M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami today flayed the PDP-BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir saying the coalition has disappointed the people with the governance becoming a casualty.
MLA from Kulgam Tarigami alleged the developmental and livelihood issues have taken a back seat in the state.
"Corruption is at its peak, power supply is erratic, unemployment is rampant, people are facing acute shortage of essential commodities and health care system has virtually collapsed in rural areas," Tarigami said.
He said the daily wagers and other temporary employees are going without wages for months, with artisans and small businessmen facing huge crisis and the peasants being in acute distress.
"But, the government is least bothered about these problems and the PDP-BJP leaders are busy in merely delivering sermons and repeating hallow claims," he said adding "No concrete measures are taken to address the issues of livelihood."
Tarigami alleged that in the last two years, the PDP and the BJP have been merely courting controversies over trivial issues to divert the attention of people from basic issues.
