CPI(M) state secretary Bijan Dhar in a letter to the EC alleged that TPCC President Sudip Roy Burman at a public meeting on November 9 said the Opposition party would do whatever necessary to stop CPI-M coming to power in the state Assembly elections due in February next year.
"I have written the letter on Monday last and attached clipping of the speech of Roy Burman threatening to do everything to stop our party coming to power," Dhar told reporters.
He said, "We have bitter experiences of misdeeds by the Opposition Congress earlier and we have reasons to be concerned, so we have lodged the complaint for taking penal measures."
