Press Trust of India Kolkata Stressing on the need for increasing their mass base to take on the ruling Trinamool Congress, CPI(M) state secretary Biman Bose today called on party workers to increase their activities at the grassroots level and in mass organisations.
"If we are to succeed in taking forward various movements against the Trinamool regime, then we have to increase the party's mass base.
"We have to increase the activity of party workers, mostly at the local committee levels, to reach out to the masses," Bose, a CPI(M) Politburo member, said while addressing party leaders at a state committee meeting here.
He also emphasised the need for preparing the youth, both politically and ideologically.
The state committee meeting also noted that, in the upcoming civic elections in some parts of the state, every party worker needed to actively participate in spreading the message and the views of CPI(M) on various issues among the people.
